A full-stack application that is used to make finding a pickup basketball game easy and fun. The app uses geocoding to find and create games in your area, all while attempting to improve your player’s ELO rating. I am working with two students in the Willamette MBA program to complete the venture. (React / Node / MySQL / Firebase / Docker / Railway / Cloudflare)
SportZen, a React and Firebase application, facilitates improved communication between the coaching staff and players of Willamette Men's Basketball. It enables players to submit daily survey data, providing insights into their mental, physical, and sleep well-being, as well as self-assessments of their performance during practice or games. Additionally, it empowers the coaching staff to update player wins and share daily team updates, seamlessly connecting the frontend and backend components of the application.
Deployed
A project that I used early on to learn about React. The project gave me a chance to challenge myself using socket programming in a new language to send and receive messages in a chatroom.
Chose not to deploy for security reasons
This was one of my first full-stack applications, where I employed CRUD operations using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js). It was designed for the Delta Zeta Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity to manage calendar events and user data.
Need approval to deploy
For my CS-270 Web Development final project, I utilized the openweathermap API to create a weather app that allows users to input a city and view the weather for the current day, as well as the next four days, with the option to choose between Fahrenheit or Celsius. It was an enjoyable experience as I moved beyond basic language syntax and applied my skills to build something fun and practical.
Helped create a VS Code Extension that makes it easier for MLEngineers to connect to a virtual cloud session directly from VS Code to make their development process more efficient.
